In the past 20 years, only six clubs have won one of Europes top leagues for the first time. Can Leicester join them? The Foxes beat title rivals Manchester City on Saturday to go five points clear at the top of the Premier League with 13 games to play.Should Claudio Ranieris team hold on to their advantage until the end of the season, it would be the clubs first-ever English top-flight title. Here are the six other clubs to pull off the same feat in Europes leading five leagues in the past two decades…Wolfsburg Edin Dzeko is drenched with beer after Wolfsburg win the Bundesliga in 2009 Felix Magath was widely ridiculed during his time at Fulham, which saw him oversee their relegation from the Premier League in 2014 and an 11-game winless run in the Championship which led to his sacking. But, prior to his short stint in England, the German enjoyed a remarkable Bundesliga triumph with Wolfsburg. In 2008/09, the club had made an unremarkable start to the season but, from the start of February won 14 of their final 16 matches - including a 5-1 thrashing of Bayern Munich - to clinch the title. They only hit top spot in the table with eight matches to go but were there at the end to clinch their maiden German title.Strikers Grafite (28 goals) and Edin Dzeko (26) - the Bundesligas two top scorers - were key, while Zvjezdan Misimovic topped the assists chart with 20, ahead of Werder Bremens Mesut Ozil.Deportivo La Coruna Roy Makaay was a key player in Deportivo La Corunas La Liga win Deportivo upset the odds to win La Liga in 1999/00. In the previous 15 seasons, only Atletico Madrid, in 1995/96, had prevented either Real Madrid or Barcelona winning Spains top flight. Few would have expected Depor - who finished sixth the previous season - to be the next league winners. But, with the help of Roy Makaays 22 goals, Javier Irureta pulled off a shock league win. They were helped by a faltering Real Madrid, who slumped from second the previous year to fifth - sacking John Toshack along the way - and a Barcelona team failing to match their levels which had led to back-to-back La Liga titles. In fact, Deportivo lost 11 times and still took the crown - with a points total 10 shy of the number Barcelona had racked up the previous year.Auxerre Laurent Blanc helped Auxerre to their first French title Manager Guy Roux was in charge at Auxerre for over 40 years but 1995/96 will surely go down as his finest. PSG and Monaco may have had the glamour players such as Youri Djorkaeff and Sonny Anderson, but it was Auxerre who pipped them to the title, winning Ligue 1 by four points. On top of that, Auxerre also clinched the double, winning the Coupe de France, thanks to Laurent Blanc and Lilian Laslandes goals against Nimes in the final. LensThree-time Ligue 1 runners-up, Lens finally got their hands on the championship trophy in 1997/98 - however, it was by the narrowest of margins. Lens finished the season tied on points with Metz but, thanks to a goal difference of +25 versus +20, finished top.It was a remarkable season for Daniel Leclercqs side, who also finished runners-up in the French Cup to PSG, and made the semi-finals of the League Cup - a tournament theyd win for the second time in their history the following year.Lyon Captain Sonny Anderson and Sidney Govou celebrate Lyons title win Lyon won Ligue 1 seven seasons in a row up until 2007/08 - but remarkably, their first of that streak in 2001/02 was their first-ever French title. The team, featuring Marc-Vivien Foe, Sonny Anderson, Juninho Pernambucano and Sidney Govou, and managed by future France boss Jacques Santini, finished two points clear of Lens.Montpellier Olivier Giroud and the Ligue 1 trophy, after Montpelliers triumph Montpellier won their first French title in 2011/12, finishing three points clear of PSG - who had been bought by their current Qatari owners at the start of the season.Fired by the goals of Olivier Giroud (21), and featuring fellow future Premier League players Remi Cabella, Benjamin Stambouli and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, Montpellier built their title challenge on two mid-season eight-game unbeaten runs. Klitschkos management company says the bout will be the Ukrainian fighters 25th world championship fight. The 1.83-meter (6-foot) Leapai defeated the previously unbeaten Denis Boytsov in November to become the WBOs mandatory challenger. With Warren Gatland installed as the British & Irish Lions coach for their tour of New Zealand next June, now comes the question over just who will form his backroom staff -- the brains trust charged with masterminding the Lions first win over the All Blacks since 1971.In 2013, on the Lions victorious tour of Australia, he had four coaches working with him: then England coaches Andy Farrell and Graham Rowntree linked up with Gatlands Wales chums Rob Howley and Neil Jenkins. His approach for 2017 is to blend the knowledge of those who have been on Lions tours before with those who can bring new ideas. In an ideal world, he then wants his backroom staff to take that Lions experience back to benefit the home nations. The chosen few will be confirmed on December 7.Here we have a look at the coaching options open to Gatland for next years mission against the All Blacks and who he may turn to.ForwardsWith both the role of the pack and the front-row needing a specialist, Gatland could turn to two coaches to cover these areas or favour finding an individual who can be across both disciplines. In 2013 Rowntree worked with Gatland to turn the front-row and pack into a fearsome beast. Rowntree, now with Quins, could be picked for another tour while Wasps coach Dai Young has been mooted as another possible option. Then you have Steve Borthwick, who works with Englands forwards and lineout, whose stock continues to rise while Nathan Hines, a 2009 Lions tourist and part of Scotlands staff, could also emerge as an option. Then there are the two Kiwis Greg Feek and Vern Cotter. Feek, perhaps the favourite to take a role in Gatlands team, is currently scrum coach at Ireland while Cotter, who will leave Scotland after the Six Nationss, could come into contention but Gatlands wish for his coaching staff to continue working in the British and Irish isles after the tour could rule the latter out.ddddddddddddBacksThis is an interesting conundrum for Gatland. In 2013 Howley, who will take charge of Wales on an interim basis with Gatland on a sabbatical, was their backs specialist and his services could be called on again. The incumbent Scotland coach Gregor Townsend was one of the front-runners for a spot on the coaching team but his national duties now seem to rule him out of contention. So with England currently void of a full-time attack coach, Gatland may look to left field with Ben Ryan, the man who led Fiji to gold at the Olympics, a contender while Ulster coach Les Kiss may also throw his hat into the ring. He is moulded in the Joe Schmidt template and that may be attractive to Gatland.DefenceRichie Gray, who looked after defence for the Springboks and is now on board with Scotland, has declared his interest for a spot on the tour to New Zealand in what is a hotly contested area.Wales coach Shaun Edwards, who has worked with Gatland since 2008, went on the 2009 tour under McGeechan but was then left out in 2013 with Andy Farrell favoured. With Farrell now at Ireland and Edwards with Wales, Gatland knows them both well and they will be in contention while another option could be Englands Paul Gustard.Gustard is widely recognised to be one of the best defence coach minds in the business and if Eddie Jones side continue their impressive run of form then he could find himself in New Zealand next summer on Lions duty.
