A bust is the product of a bad trade, draft selection or free-agent signing. Of course, you could say they’re all overrated in the NFL, where the average salary is more than four times that of the U.S. President.The real problem might be draft weekend, when players are crowned before they’ve done anything. Some people are overrated because no one can live up to the hype. Too often players are lobbied for as the best of all time, when the real question should be, Are they the best of their time? Let’s start simple. The inference is that this is the best time, I realize, but you never know how someone will rank over the test of time.For this list, the only players that are considered began their time with their team since the beginning of the millennium.
