The Buffalo Sabres announced on Monday that they will retire the No. Esa Lindell Stars Jersey . 39 jersey of Dominik Hasek on Jan. 13, 2015. The Sabres will be playing another of Haseks former teams that night, the Detroit Red Wings. Hasek will become the seventh player to have his jersey retired by the Sabres. The 49-year-old played 16 seasons in the NHL, including nine in Buffalo. He won the Vezina Trophy six times and the Hart Trophy twice, all as a member of the Sabres. Guerrero signed the contract on the field before the game, getting a loud ovation from the Anaheim crowd when he put pen to paper. The slugging outfielder then threw the first pitch to Baylor, the only other league MVP in Angels history. But Baylor couldnt get up after making the catch, unable to put weight on his leg.
