But you have to wonder if the front office paid too steep a price in order to field a competitive team.Tyrod Taylor is a good quarterback, but it's not a lock that he'll even start in Week 1 with Baker Mayfield lurking. If the rookie does ascend to the top spot on the depth chart, Cleveland will have spent a third-round pick and $16 million on a backup quarterback. And if second-round pick Nick Chubb ends up starting, free agent signing Carlos Hyde will have a hard time getting onto the field with ace receiving back Duke Johnson on the roster. The team also gave Jarvis Landry a lot of money. He's one of the league's best slot receivers, but he's making No. 1 receiver money.The team's best move may have been landing Damarious Randall from the Packers.
