Initially, the Bears believed that White had suffered only a severe high ankle sprain, but further testing revealed the fibula fracture.White has 19 receptions for 187 yards this season.This is the second serious injury to Whites left leg since the Bears drafted him seventh overall out of West Virginia in 2015. White missed his entire rookie year due to a left shin fracture that required doctors to insert a steel rod to stabilize his tibia.The Bears say the two injuries are not related.
