LUSAKA Cheap Jason Kidd Jersey , Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- The number of asylum seekers from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) entering Zambia has increased to over 1,800 over the past one week, the United Nations refugee agency said on Saturday.


The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said about 1 Cheap Dirk Nowitzki Jersey ,832 Congolese asylum seekers crossed various borders into Zambia between August 30 and September 6, 2017.


The refugee agency said in a statement that the total number of DRC asylum seekers from January to date has increased to 4,478 Cheap Seth Curry Jersey , bringing the total number of DRC refugees in Zambia to over 25,000.


It however added in a statement that the number could be more as some of the asylum seekers were staying in communities.


The refugee agency was currently providing basic lifesaving humanitarian assistance to the asylum seekers while a program to relocate them to designated refugee camps in the western part of the country has started.


According to the statement, the asylum seekers have said generalized insecurity caused by clashes between DRC soldiers and different militias around the towns of Pweto and Moba had forced them to seek asylum in Zambia.

BERLIN, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- Another German couple has beenarrested in Turkey Cheap Dennis Smith Jr. Jersey , Germany's Foreign Office told reporters onMonday.


There were "concrete indications" that the two German citizensof Turkish origin had been taken into police custody in Istanbulover the weekend. One of the affected individuals has since beenreleased again.


A spokesperson for the German Foreign Office said that it wasyet to receive any official information from Turkey's governmentabout the incident. He urged Germans "in the utmost explicitness"to carefully consider the risks of traveling to Turkey at themoment.


Only a few days earlier, another German couple of Turkishdescent was arrested at Antalya airport. The woman's lawyerconfirmed to the Foreign Office that she was released four dayslater. Ankara has charged both suspects with connections to themovement of U.S.-based cleric Fethullah Guelen whom Turkey blamesfor a failed military coup in July 2016.


The rapidly growing number of German citizens in Turkish prisonshas further strained already tense relations between Berlin andAnkara.


In response to last week's arrests, the German Foreign Officehas added additional travel guidelines for Turkey cautioningagainst arbitrary arrests in holiday resorts.
